Not that any of this is porn, mind you.

ReplyDeleteWere that their exact words? :)
ReplyDelete"This week, we announced a change to Blogger's porn policy. We've had a ton of feedback, in particular about the introduction of a retroactive change (some people have had accounts for 10+ years), but also about the negative impact on individuals who post sexually explicit content to express their identities," says Jessica Pelegio, Social Product Support Manager at Google. "Blog owners should continue to mark any blogs containing sexually explicit content as "adult" so that they can be placed behind an 'adult content' warning page."
ReplyDeleteSo there you have it. Maybe Google realised it would see a mass exodus of users jumping over to Tumblr or it just couldn't ignore the negative responses coming its way. Either way, adult content still has a home on Blogger, as long as it's your own or you have permission to post it.
Thanks. I just didn't expect them to use the term "porn". :)
